Something has stirred in the outerwilds of the multiverse, the barriers keeping such a gargantuan entity together fraying at the seams. An unknowable force residing just outside the multiverse is seeking entry, and with its actions calamities are sure to follow. From humble beginnings tracking down the cure to an infallible disease, to traipsing through the dark and bleary wilds of the Shadowfell, to even further beyond, extending well past the reach of the Nine Hells of Baator and the Lawful Modrons of Mechanus or the unfettered bizarreness of Limbo, journey through a variety of settings, planes, and arcs, all setting the seeds and paths for the inevitable finale against one who would challenge the very balance of the multiverse itself. Disclaimer: This is almost entirely a homebrew campaign of my own creation, designed for a level one start, going all the way up to level 20 or even further beyond, depending on how the party progresses and the choices they make. The opening arc, Chasing Woe, is a heavily modified version of Matt Mercer's and Critical Role's Frozen Sick campaign, which itself is designed for a level 1 Party, running up to and ending with level 3. I have changed almost everything about the module, and moving past the first arc of this homebrew campaign everything is my own. There will be a session zero that will address character creation, stats, homebrew rules, and expand on the premise of the campaign as a whole. This campaign has a great many arcs, each focusing on a central theme that will tie everything together come the finale. In between these arcs, players will have arcs of their own that will tie into the narrative itself, in ways that will be discussed between me as the DM and those who are playing. The choices you make here will have consequences, and nothing is black and white. Party size is intended to be between four and six players, and it will not exceed six (what I consider to be a full party). Tools: We'll be using Discord for audio, and Roll 20 for music and visuals. AI generated art will be permitted in order for players to create their characters the way they see fit, though the creation of your characters through the use of AI will fall solely on your hands. Alternatively, pulling an image from the internet that fits your character idea is perfectly fine as well. With that out of the way, I'll tell you a little bit about myself. I go by Penumbra (my discord handle) which is easier for me to respond to online. I've been DMing privately for the past six years, and have run a few paid campaigns over the last year. All of the campaigns that I've run for the past four years have been through Roll20, so I am very familiar with the tools at my disposal and utilize them to the best of my ability to make a campaign come to life. I love giving the players interesting choices, setting the scene for what undoubtedly becomes brilliant storytelling from my players, as they get lost in the world. There will be NPC's of all different races, backgrounds and personalities for you to sink your teeth into, and I look forward to meeting you and rolling the dice with you. I am currently DM for 15 or so players, all of whom have graciously decided to keep coming back for more. Payment: The amount of time and energy I invest into my worlds is where this comes from, and those who play with me are forever etched into those worlds as well. It helps me devote more of my time and energy to D&D, as I also still work a full-time job while DMing, so it helps out when things are difficult and helps me provide for my family. I am always grateful for each contribution that allows me to manage all that I do. With that out of the way lets cover a few ground rules. Payment must be made within 24 hours prior to a session beginning, with no exceptions. If there is ever a time where a session must be canceled last minute, the payment will accrue as credit towards the next session hosted, with no additional cost to those playing (I.E. if last week's session is canceled and all players have already paid, they will not need to pay for the following week's session). For session zero, along with the first two sessions, whether you start at the beginning or join one of the arcs later on, they will be free, to ensure that you are enjoying the story and your other party members and wish to continue before taking on the financial commitment. Payment disclosure will be provided at the bottom following roll20 guidelines. Days/Times Available (Weekly unless stated otherwise) (EST): Mondays - 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. Tuesdays - 9 P.M. to 1 A.M.
